What a year this week has been - A Hostful

And so comes the end of another season of the poggie. It’s been an absolute pleasure to bring these conversations to you over the past couple of months, and judging by the feedback I’ve received from you, we’ve hit upon some topics that have resonated deeply.

As always, we’re rounding out the season with a hostful chat - where Ben and I riff on things we’ve learnt, what we’re up to and what we’re working through in our own slow-living efforts.

In this episode we talk about my new blog and newsletter (you can subscribe here) and my experience of turning 40 earlier this month, which was pretty different to Ben’s experience late last year.

We also dig into:

  • our year so far - including how our roles in home and business have both changed

  • the overarching sense of worry and sadness that I’ve experienced over the first few months of the year

  • why Ben believes societal change is already happening, but we won’t be able to see it for a while

  • how we’re managing our teenager’s introduction to phones/social media

  • the transition to high school and the one massive change I’ve made that has helped keep it smooth-ish

  • a quick update on my Dad

  • the new hobby I’ve taken up and why I think it’s the perfect embodiment of slow living for me

  • PLUS what to expect in Season 10 of the podcast.

Thank you again for listening to this season, and I can’t wait to see what we bring to your ears next!
